I heard on BBC1 news of a few important warnings for health recently that are worthy of note with Summer holidays fast approaching in Scotland anyway.
An unusual major strain of e-coli has broken out in Germany. Â It is affecting women, children and elderly the most. The strain but not the source has been identified. To get infected you have to be eating food in Germany. This is believed to have come from Spanish cucumbers imported to Germany and all these are being dumped in Germany. Â A major dispute has flared up between Spain and Germany and how this has occurred.
Please be careful if travelling to Germany for your holidays.
Also this year in France there has been a major measles outbreak as a result of low immunizations. Please be wary when using public swimming pools and when travelling with kids that it is much safer if they have been immunised for measles which is potentially a deadly virus.
Finally don’t forget your labels4kids name labels from the UK when travelling abroad this summer, especially your personalised id bands and vinyl labels.
