Hi

I had a stillborn baby girl, on the 21st December 2009. We called her Leah. I would be glad to help make Blankets of Love, as i have my baby Leah's Blanket in her cot. I have a sewing machine, and i can also knit (simple patterns). If knitting is acceptable for a Blanket.

Please get back to me.

I would love to participate. My knitting skills are between beginner and intermediate. A pattern idea would be very helpful.

I myself, only recently received this same email. I looked into this more as my mother always puts a bottle of water in the freezer overnight for the day ahead. Obviously causing much concern. I have come across much conradicting info as well as info to back up this theory..i myself beleive that if an alternative to plastic is available, then why even contemplate taking that risk, both for ourselves, and the environment!

I don't live in your area, but what I did when I started Aiden's project in honor of my daughter, I bought yarn, and talked to our local retirement center. Many of the ladies volunteered and have been making blankets for well over a year. They bring me more than I need to the hospital. Hope this helps.

We are not really coping so well a few months in. We have half reverted back to gluten inclusive bread so the little one can get some lunch, and we cannot cope with the soya milk or rice milk. However we HAVE found that perhaps I may have an intolerance to wheat and I must ask the doctor next time I am there. Had never noticed until I started this diet that it could be the case! Also my son's ulcer pains have been minimal since the o-type diet started. We still eat most of what is on the diet as we eat a lot less bread and drink much less milk. Also less icecream and cheese and no potatoes or corn etc. So probably 80% of the diet and 20% not. Jury still out on it really but we feel healthier and everyone has lost some weight. We are waiting for Great Ormond Street to take a look at the son with the ulcer and their verdict may be interesting on this one as the consultant is big on food intolerances. We keep you updated. Been complicated by him having fractured ribs at present so his ulcer may also be playing up with the medication....it doesn't rain it pours in this house!
