Why we need to raise allergy awareness

Allergy labels. They might not be at the top of your list when you did your back to school shopping. I think they are a type of label that is often overlooked.

These labels are a hot topic on the social media right now, with increased public awareness around allergies following tragic events in the United States: A 13 year old girl tragically passed away after eating a treat which she didn’t know had peanuts in.

Unfortunately, allergy related accidents are a real possibility, especially with food allergies. Parents of an allergic child will of course know this, but people around the child might not always be aware of the risk. In fact, they may not know about the allergy at all. Sometimes, all it takes is a bite of food. That’s why allergy awareness within communities surrounding your child is so crucial for their wellbeing.

It’s so important that anyone who comes into contact with the child has an understanding of the seriousness of the condition. The do’s and don’ts and how to avoid any potentially harmful mistakes.

At Labels4Kids we realise how important it is to raise allergy awareness.  Everything that helps remind your child, their teachers, or the people that spend time with them is a plus. That’s why we have vinyl labels with a clear warning and a picture to signal medical requirements to everyone around your child. The vinyl labels are thick, resistant and  perfect for lunch boxes and cups. They can feature set medical warnings, or your own message.
